Movement Therapy

Movement

The American Dance Therapy Association defines movement therapy as the psychotherapeutic use of movement to further the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of the individual.

Our program incorporates techniques from primal movement, classical and contemporary dance. The intensity and technique is tailored to the situation and we deliver the program for individuals and groups.

Our program is practiced in mental health, rehabilitation, medical and educational settings, and in nursing homes, care centres and corporate health programs. The techniques are effective for individuals with developmental, medical, social, physical and psychological impairments, and are used with people of all ages, races and ethnic backgrounds in individual, couples, family and group therapy formats.
